As Michelle Obama and husband Barack Obama are soon going to exit the Oval Office and the White House in a matter of weeks, it is a time to look back and get inside the First Lady's mind.

Michelle Obama has always been advocating the importance of education, women and minorities. She has acted not only on behalf of the United States but for the world as well. And "Let Girls Learn" is considered to be one of the most critical things to remember during the Obama administration as reported by Marie Claire.

For Michelle Obama, she knows how much work is needed to be done in order for a girl to get an education. Her past history is evidence of that. She grew up in the South Side of Chicago and she wakes up at 4:00 AM in order to study. Because the neighborhood and her apartment is noisy, it is the only time she can get some peace.

At an early age, Michelle Obama already valued education. Which is why she set up "Let Girls Learn." It is an initiative that raises awareness regarding young girls' education everywhere. According to the "Let Girls Learn" official website, 98 million girls are out of school.

During her time as First Lady, inside and outside the White House, she has made it her mission to help them. As she walks through various halls or stand before a podium, she carries with her stories of girls who risk their lives for the sake of education.

First Lady Michelle Obama wants to inspire action and for her, education is the key to everything she was able to do and achieve in her life. She wants all the girls in the world to be able to do the same. This is Michelle's personal mission. At one point, she told Marie Claire that girls everywhere are hungry to learn and are taking great risks to pursue an education.
