There is an ongoing rumor about the possible cancellation of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8's launching. Samsung Battery Supplier (SDI) Backs Out

The Galaxy Note 7 debacle has put too much stressed not only for Samsung but also to its in-house battery supplier, SDI. According to Digital Trends, SDI is likely facing the brunt that resulted from Galaxy Note 7 fiasco and the company has fears of having a bad reputation in the eyes of their current and prospective clients.

In addition, the Galaxy Note 7 debacle has made SDI lose a fifth of its subsidiary, thus, sending the company into the rocks when it comes to revenues. For this reason, the company is overwhelmed with regrets and questions of what if's - what if they do it like the other way around.

Furthermore, as a struggling start-up company who aspires to gain visibility in the industry, SDI has hinted of withdrawing from supplying batteries to Samsung because of its doubt in supporting the growing demands of the South Korean tech. For this reason, netizens started to speculate that the manufacturing of Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 will be cancelled even more so the launching and release date.

So far, no statement has been issued by Samsung regarding the cancellation of the 2017 flagship released. In fact, according to Forbes, Samsung has remain a strong brand name after the publication asked around 6000 US consumers who think that the company is not in trouble.

Samsung Assures the Galaxy S7 Batteries are Safe

On the other hand, despite the on-going brunt caused by Galaxy Note 7, Samsung assures that the batteries installed in their current and saleable Galaxy S7 handsets are safe. The company has announced the subject when users of the said units have started to become worried after learning about the Galaxy Note 7 battery explosions reports across the globe.
