It is now possible to shop via Facebook messenger. Thanks to Shopify's new feature.

Facebook messenger is one of the best options if you want to chat with your friends, and even potential clients or customers. Transaction between shoppers and store owners is now easier as there's no need to leave chat just to process the order.

Shopify, a Canadian e-commerce company, introduced a new feature that allows users to shop directly from Facebook Messenger without leaving the FB chat, Gadgets 360 reported. The e-commerce company teamed with Facebook to in order to make this happen.

How it works?

The Canadian shopping platform offers entrepreneurs to host their business on Facebook Messenger, and sell products via chat messaging. It means users don't need to leave the chat to purchase the items they want.

How To Shop through Facebook Messenger?

In order for the shoppers buy items via Facebook chat, the merchants should be partnered with Shopify. If your merchant is already partnered with Shopify, you can see a "Shop Now Button" in a chat box of the Facebook Business of the store owner.

The "Shop Now" button allows you to check the entire catalogue of products offered by the store on Messenge, It also also allows user to browse through products. The business bots will be the one to guide users once they enter the chat box.

Shopify offers merchants a checkout portal that works on FB Messenger. This mean there's no need to download the store's app, or load their website just to make a purchase.

Usually, in order to purchase items or browse product catalogue, shoppers need to load the merchant's website. Some find it hassle because there were times that some merchants' websites have loading issues.

This feature gives convenient to both shoppers and merchants. It could be more convenient if a user regularly purchases through a phone, according to Engadget.
