EA DICE has released the closed beta for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst," the second one after the original game, "Mirror's Edge" which was released in 2008. The new game is a reboot, which will be a treat for old players and new players alike.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that players will be playing as a younger version of Faith in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst." She has just recently released from prison and will soon partake in the Running business. Players will meet Noah, the head of the clan and a main male figure in Faith's life and other Runners in the game.

For its major improvements, the "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is now an open-world action-adventure game. Game Reactor shares that players who have played the game will find the controls to be basically the same. Faith is agile as ever and vaulting, sliding and wall running can be pretty easy for new players as well.

However, new moves where Faith can fling around corners through the use of horizontal pipes has also been added. Players will no longer have to double tap the bumper to vault (on Xbox One), instead, they can just press and hold. Transitioning from wall running to jumping has also been made easier. Through this, Faith now has numerous ways to reach her destination and getting around the "Mirror's Edge Catalyst World." EA Dice made it easier to unlock skill points through grinding as well.

The minimum PC requirements to play "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i3-3250, 6GB RAM, at least 25GB free space, Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 270x or higher. According to Gadgets 360, the closed beta will run until April 26. "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will be released on June 7 and it will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
