Funcom Announces Big Update For 'Conan Exiles', Also To Work On New Bugs Hunting Program [VIDEO]

The widely popular survival game "Conan Exiles" has just received a new update this week. Developer Funcom has just announced the game's latest update for this month, bringing new features, new weapons, animated thralls, new craftable armor pieces and some exploit fixes on board. Funcom made the huge announcement this week.

As mentioned earlier by GameSpot, Conan Exiles, which is still in early access program, will now have some sort of "decay" system for buildings, where old buildings will be "cleaned up" over time. This newly added feature can be disabled by default on private servers and enabled by default on public ones, according to the game's patch notes.

Another newly added feature is a dyeing system, which said to allow players to brew new colors to dye their armor with. These can do by gathering pigments and then going to the Firebowl Cauldron. Then, there's still more, the Norway-based developer is also adding 8 new weapons in the newly released update, which said to fix a number of bugs and unintentional exploits.

In addition to the newly released update, Funcom has also detailed its plans for the multiplayer game's future content updates. This means that Conan Exiles will is receiving another big boost from its Norwegian developer. A whopping $5-10 million will be invested over the course of this year. The full "Conan Exiles" is now being planned for release game on PS4, PC and Xbox One sometime in the first quarter of 2018 or after an early access version of the game, which slated for release on Xbox One in the third quarter of this year. As for the Nintendo switch version of "Conan Exiles," Funcom still has no plans to bring the survival title to the hybrid game console.

In other Conan-related news, Funcom is reportedly working on a new Exploit Hunters program that will allow players to hunt down and report back on any exploits discover, according to MMORPG.com. The idea is to assist the developer in fixing the bugs before they create a serious need for a server reset. Funcom;'s newly created bugs hunting program is not included in the newly released update, but Funcom plans to release more info about this by next week.

 "Conan Exiles" is Funcom's an upcoming open world survival video game developed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The barbarian-themed game is set in the fictional prehistoric world of Conan the Barbarian, with the custom playable character being rescued by Conan, however, the player needs to survive the brutal journey. Originally, "Conan Exiles" is expected to be released last year, unfortunately, it was delayed to a yet to be announced date due to some technical reasons. Funcom has already released an early access PC version of the game in January 2017.
