‘NieR: Automata,’ ‘Final Fantasy XV’ Content Collaboration Announced; Collector’s Edition Revealed [VIDEO]

Square Enix has announced that "NieR: Autmota" and "Final Fantasy XV" will have a content collaboration in the future. The Black Box Edition was also revealed.

According to the official Japanese blog of Square Enix, the game company has announced that they will be doing a collaboration between the upcoming "NieR: Automata" and newly released "Final Fantasy XV." One game will feature content from the other game and vice versa.

In "NieR: Automata," a weapon from "Final Fantasy XV" will be featured. Noctis' Engine Blade can be used by the game's protagonist 2B. If she equips the weapon, it will alter the evasion effects and damage display, which will have similarities to "Final Fantasy XV's" style.

There are plans for "NieR: Automata" weapons to appear in "Final Fantasy XV" in the future. These can be equipped by the four protagonists of the video game, and may have different effects when held by them.

"NieR: Automata" Black Box Edition

According to another post on the official blog of Square Enix, the game company revealed "NieR: Automata's Black Box Edition. It will be a Square Enix e-Store exclusive item for interested fans to purchase and it will cost them $228.

The limited edition will contain several contents like the base game for PS4, the YoRHa No. 2 Type B character figure, music concert and talk live soundtrack, and the artbook. It will also contain the Recollection Gestalt Project Memoirs Novel and the download code for a special item in the video game.

In other "NieR" related news, the game company announced that they are planning to release the "NieR" Music Concert and Talk Live on a Blu-ray disc. It will be released on Dec. 14.
