Apple iPhone 8 Features & Specs
The submitted report of Barclays Research Team to Apple's supply chain in Asia has revealed about the Cupertino-based tech giant's plan on releasing a new iPhone in 2017. According to The Apple Post, the report stated about a curved-edge and bezel-free screen display iPhone 8 that is believed to come in two size variants - 5-inch and 5.8-inch model.
Furthermore, the iPhone 8 5.8-inch model is said to feature an OLED display technology for brighter and sharper display output. This kind of technology is said to be more energy efficient compared to the previous ones using LCD display.
In addition, both 5-inch and 5.8-inch iPhone 8 are also believed to drop the Home Button to further achieved the bezel-less screen display. However, Barclays Research Team is cynic about the removal of the iconic Home Button and embedding it on the screen; however, they expected for the iPhone 8 to be extended horizontally and vertically, Mac Rumors reported.
It can be recalled that both KGI Analyst Ming-Chi Kou and trusted website Nikkei have predicted about the upcoming anniversary phone of Apple. Kou predicted about the 5.8-inch curved-edge OLED display iPhone 8 while Nikkei said about 4.7-inch and 5-inch models.
Apple iPhone 8 Release Date
Apple has not released an official schedule for the celebration of 10th iPhone anniversary event, however, rumors suggesting that it will fall in the month of September having the first iPhone introduced in the same month almost 10 years ago. As Apple is currently negotiating with LG and Samsung as well as Foxconn-owned Sharp for the OLED panel supplies, the presumed iPhone 8 is expected to hit the store shelves according to the Cupertino giant's scheduled release date.
