Close

The Apple Macbook Pro 2016 may have a higher storage capacity than its predecessors. An insider has revealed the details on what to expect during the tech giant's "Hello Again" event this Oct. 27.

Mac Rumors reported that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a new research report that shows what he expects to see during this Thursday's "Hello Again" event. Apple is said to make a couple of Mac-related announcements.

Kuo believes that the main focus of the event will be the Apple Macbook Pro 2016, with its 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The upcoming device is expected to have an OLED Display Touch Bar. It is speculated to be placed above the number keys of the keyboard, replacing the standard F key functions.

This feature is helpful for students since it purportedly can be fully-customizable. It means that users can assign a specific function, such as a shortcut to an app, to a button. The Apple Macbook Pro 2016 specs are also said to have Intel Skylake chips as well as AMD Polaris units. These high-tech processors will definitely make for a powerful laptop.

It was speculated that future Macbook laptops may have a new keyboard design. Apple may equip the Macbook Pro 2016 with a smart keyboard module that features a backlit e-ink display. This feature will allow users to setup the keyboard for frequently used shortcuts and language-swapping.

Aside from that, Kuo noted that the Apple Macbook Pro 2016 would have a new option of 2TB SSD storage capacity. This is definitely a step up for the highly-anticipated device.

Files are getting larger and larger in terms of size, especially with users wanting to have HD photos and videos. The device's higher storage capacity can help students keep up with today's modern world's demands.

According to BGR, the Apple Macbook Pro 2016's rumored MagSafe-like USB-C adapter is also a welcome change. The publication is also waiting to see whether the laptop's battery life will have a significant improvement.
