Chromecast 4k Rumor: Live Stream, Google's big October 4th launch, Android 7.1 Nougat Exclusive For Google Pixel XL and Pixel X?
Google will hold an event on Tuesday Oct. 4. Some rumors suggest that Android 7.1 Nougat would be exclusive for Google Pixel XL and Pixel X.
As mentioned earlier, Google will hold an event on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in San Francisco. For those who are interested to follow the event, click the link here for live stream.
The event may give surprise announcements. On Sept. 25, Hiroshi Lockheimer, the company's Senior Vice President in charge of Android, Chrome OS and Google Play, teased the October event.
What to expect on October event?
The following reports are expected to be announced on Tuesday, according to CNET.
- Pixel XL and Pixel X will be introduced (These new phones drop the Nexus name, according to some reports).
- An upgraded 4K Chromecast video streamer will be introduced
- Pricing, availability and more details on Google Home,
- New Virtual Reality, Daydream's details will be unveiled
- A new Pixel tablet (or laptop)
- A successor to its OnHub Wi-Fi router, Google Wi-fi
The publication predicted that a whole new operating system will be announced as well. Aside from that, Evan Blass, who was reported leaked some details about Google Event, revealed that Google and Huawei teamed up to create a 7-inch tablet that would have 4GB of RAM. So maybe a new Android table will be introduced on Tuesday as well.
Google Pixel X and Pixel XL, with codenames Google Sailfish and Marlin, have been headlined for months on different publications.The upcoming devices were rumored will have Android 7.1 Nougat, and this update will be exclusively for these two devices, thus, making some people think that these are the most advanced Google smartphones.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Action Launcher added several Android 7.1 Nougat or Pixel Launcher features. Chris Lacy, developer of Action Launcher 3 ensure that the new Launcher is fresh with regular updates, Phone Arena reported. Laucher also added some functionality.
