However, there are some situations where graduates need not worry about student loan repayment.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLF) program gives loan forgiveness to those who are employed in a government or non-profit organization. Any outstanding balance from a student loan gets forgiven after completing 120 payments under a qualifying repayment program while working as an employee from the mentioned organizations.

Teacher Loan Forgiveness

Those who have served as a teacher to low-income families for five consecutive years are also eligible for student loan forgiveness. Aside from the service, there are also other requirements that need to be met. Those who are eligible can get up to $17,500 off their subsidized and unsubsidized loans from the federal government.
