The college application process is an undeniably tedious process and is also time consuming. The preparation part alone should begin as early as possible so as to make sure that all the deadlines are met, especially when you are trying to narrow down your options from a number of schools.

Application forms

This is one of the basic, yet most important things required in your admissions process. Before having them submitted, also review them to make sure it's free of errors.

Application fees

Your application fee is usually required in order for you to submit your application forms and if it is too high, you can go ahead and check if you are eligible for a waiver. Fee waivers are very helpful so you can submit your application free of charge.

Standardized test scores

Your SAT/ACT scores on your college application, together with your official score reports will be required for your application, according to Khan Academy. They should be sent directly from the College Board or the ACT to the college you are applying for.

Transcripts

Most of the colleges and universities require official grades for the subjects you have studied in high school as well as the credits you have earned.
