Microsoft Surface Phones Intriguing Features and Specs

Rumor mills have started to pound for the "most interactive device yet" of the Windows-maker the Microsoft Surface Phones. Just recently, the trademark expert Patently Mobile has uncovered intriguing patent applications by Microsoft for their upcoming Surface Phones.

Accordingly, patent applications show that Surface Phones will be similar with Nokia Lumia phones but will be equipped with crucial features which are said to resemble those of Samsung and Apple. On the other hand, one notable feature that is likely to land in Surface Phone is the support for Stylus Pen which is already present in the Surface Pro 3 when it was launched in 2015 according to Express.

Furthermore, the patent applications also revealed that Surface Phone does not have a physical Home Button which is currently features in Apple iPhone 7 and other premium Android devices. In addition, the phone also sports a USB-C port at the bottom for fast charging and could further lead to the elimination of the 3.5mm audio jack.

Moreover, the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile processor is expected to power the Surface Phones together with the 64-bit version of Windows 10 mobile. For this reason, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is probably right when he said that Surface Phone could be the "ultimate mobile device", Forbes reported.

Google Will Bring Back Nexus in 2017

As Microsoft Surface Phones release date is imminent, rumongers started to speculate that the phones closest rivals are not Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 but the Google Nexus phones 2017 which are rumored to make a comeback in 2017. However, the search giant did not confirm the said reports; thus, fans are advised to take the matter like a grain of salt.
