Posters of Adolf Hitler and swastikas were found at two locations on the University of Chicago campus on Monday. This comes as the nation continues to see an increase of racist acts in schools after president-elect Donald Trump's victory.

Chicago Tribune reported that posters with Hitler, swastikas and the slogan "No Degeneracy, No Tolerance, Hail Victory" were found inside the campus of the University of Chicago. The posters have since been removed.

The school announced that campus police are investigating the case. No other details have been released.

According to ABC 7, a neo-Nazi group may be the culprit behind the racist messages. It was noted that the name of the symbol of The Atomwaffen Division was on the posters.

"The university is aware of this material... which was found and immediately removed at multiple locations on campus yesterday morning," the university said. "We are investigating the incidents."

The Chicago Tribune added that the group had claimed credit for the posters. The slogan "Hail Victory" is the English translation of "Sieg heil" by the Nazis. The slogan was repeatedly cheered by attendees at a meeting of the National Policy Institute, which is a white nationalist group.

Last month, the president and provost of the University of Chicago urged students to commit to the school's values. "[We ask] for your help and commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion, free expression and open discourse," they said.

This comes as the latest in a string of hostile and racist acts in campuses after the victory of president-elect Donald Trump. The Republican presidential nominee has been vocal about his plans for immigration and the deportation of undocumented students.

"Now that our man Trump is elected," a poster found inside the campus of Texas State University read. "Time to organize tar and feather vigilante squads and go arrest and torture those deviant university leaders spouting off that diversity garbage."
