Android 7.0 Nougat to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE

Samsung has already announced that Android 7.0 Nougat will be rolling out to their premium handsets Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE. According to Know Your Mobile, the two flagships will be the first Marshmallow-operated Samsung devices to get the Nougat update and will be followed by its predecessors Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 EDGE.

The Android 7.0 Nougat firmware, with reference number G930FXXU1ZPK1, is available to Galaxy S7 owners from the selected regions only, specifically from the U.K., the U.S. and South Korea. On the other hand, Samsung is working out for the release of Nougat update to Galaxy S7 owners in China which they can expect to roll out before December ends.

Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy S7 handsets offers new feature enhancements such as longer battery life through the Doze feature and multi-window app support, which allows the users to use two applications at the same time. Galaxy S7 Android Nougat update is expected to roll out in December 2016.   

Android 7.0 Nougat Update to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2 users are excited for the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat to their respective devices. The excitement becomes apparent when Samsung officially confirmed that they are working on the latest beta program for the two mentioned devices, Sam Mobile reported.

However, since there is no official announcement about the release of Nougat to Galaxy S7 worldwide, it is already presumed that Note 5 and Tab S2 update will be launched in 2017 alongside the Galaxy S7 Active and Galaxy J3. On the other hand, Galaxy Note 7 is already banned from getting Nougat updates.
