Fox's "The Simpsons" Season 28 will enter the world of virtual reality. To celebrate its 600th episode,  Fox announced that the couch gag will explore VR with the help of Google.

"The Simpsons" Season 28, Episode 600, will be available to watch on iOS and even Android devices. Thanks to Google who teamed up with "The Simpsons," and they make the latest episode available on virtual reality, according to Indie Wire.

600th Episode is just like a normal 45-second segment that can be watched on TV. However, its full three minutes of material has been produced in VR, and will be available to see via iOS and Android devices (which will come from the Google Spotlight Stories app). To enjoy the VR experience, use Google Cardboard viewer, according to the source.

The latest couch gag is titled, "Planet of the Couches," The gag will start off the "Treehouse of Horror XXVII" episode, to aired on Sunday, October 16.

The VR experience, "Planet of the Couches," was developed in conjunction with the Google Spotlight Stories team and Google Cardboard. Only the first 25,000 "Simpsons" fans that will sign up at simpsonscardboard.com will receive a Free Extremely Limited Edition SIMPSONS Google Cardboard, which will be used for viewing, Entertainment Weekly learned.

"The Simpsons" is the longest animated sitcom of Fox. It started airing on December 17, 1989. 

The series is a satirical depiction, and it follows the story of Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The animated sitcom is set in the fictional town named Springfield 

What to expect on couch gag VR experience?

According to "Simpsons" executive producer Al Jean, viewers will see different characters and jokes. The music and effects are also different, the source added.
