Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Redmi Note 3 are the flagships with good design and build. The comparison should find out which phone is the real prime.

Galaxy J7 Prime vs Redmi Note 3: Design and display

Galaxy J7 Prime and Redmi Note 3 sport 5.5 inch display and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Both possess a good design and build. In fact, both phones look similar with their all metallic-built construction and curved edges but Redmi Note 3 is 3 grams lighter than Galaxy j7 Prime.

Xiaomi equips its Note 3 with autolight display so the color production under the harsh sunlight is pretty decent, and slightly better than Galaxy J7 Prime's display.

Galaxy J7 Prime vs Redmi Note 3: Hardware and software

Galaxy J7 Prime runs Android Marshmallow OS under the hood and it offers good set of customization options with its interface. Redmi Note 3 runs Android Lollipop OS and has MIUI 8 interface with a lot of useful features from light mode to child mode.

Redmi Note 3 sports Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 which makes a good single-core performance whilst Galaxy J7 Prime gets octa-core Exynos 7870 that tends to result in a slower performance. From the processor spec, Redmi Note 3 is more powerful than J7 Prime.

Xiaomi offers two variants of Redmi Note 3, 16 GB and 2 GB RAM or 32 GB and 3 GB RAM. Galaxy J7 Prime is offered with 16 GB - 3 GB RAM pairing, as per GSM Arena full specification list.

Redmi Note 3 is good at gaming performance. Something that Galaxy J7 Prime is lacking behind. Samsung's flagship is also lacking of gyroscope and compass.

What's annoying about Xiaomi's handset would be the lack of dedicated memory slot. Consumers may want to consider choosing the bigger RAM variant for storage-wise.

Redmi Note 3 cameras pack 16 MP and 5 MP. Galaxy J7 Prime offers 13 MP and 8 MP. Galaxy J7 Prime's cameras do not stand out and the fact that it is much pricier than Redmi Note 3, makes it a deal breaker.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 3 cameras are not impressive either but given the pricing - the phone captures images with decent quality and the clarity is better than Galaxy J7 Prime.

As far as the fingerprint scanner is concerned, both phones are responsive. Redmi Note 3 packs 4050 mAh battery that can last for one day and a half in moderate usage whilst the Galaxy J7 Prime gets quite a low battery capacity, 3300 mAh.
