Three new models of iPhone 7 are supposed to be launched during the special media event in September but Apple has allegedly killed one of the model months before launching. Thus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro will be the only mobile models to be launched this year.

There have been rumors and speculations circulating the internet that Apple will release three models of iPhone this year 2016 and the three models are the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch with single lens camera and 5.5-inch dual lens camera. The three models will be iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro, respectively. However, according to a report from iClarified, Apple dropped the 5.5-inch model with single lens due to stiff competition in the market.

It's worth saying that this is the first time since the launching of iPhone in 2007 when Apple compelled to take the action of killing off a model due to pressure brought by fierce competition. As added by iClarified, the premium iPhone 7 model was killed off less than six months before its official launching. That means, they decided to take down the model in the second quarter of this year.

According to Yahoo, a new model of iPhone 7 will be launched in 2017 and it is expected to be the postponed and killed off model. But the next year's device is rumored to be equipped in features such as wireless charging, glass body and edge-to-edge screen. Yahoo reported that Foxconn, one of Apple's aluminum suppliers have started developing glass casings. This newly rumored device is expected to pull a "powder keg" of sales due to its new and astounding features.

On the other hand, if these rumors were true, it is expected to see iPhone Pro and iPhone enjoying the premium sales after its launching in September 7. Both device have innovating features such as waterproof and lack of headphone jack.
