Reception for The CW's superhero ensemble, "Legends of Tomorrow" was mixed, the series ended their first season with plenty of possibilites for season 2. With the aspect of time travel being used throughout the season, the fantastical elements was completely dumbed down by the lackluster villains on each episodes, with the only exception being the recurring villains of other Arrow-verse shows that make an appearance.

Well, it seems that the showrunners has heard fans' gripes and decided to implement tried and tested villains for season 2. With the mention of the existence of the Justice Society of America, it would be only fitting that similar team be built to go up against time traveling powerhouses such as Rex Tyler AKA Hourman, and the rest of Rip Hunter's crew.

In a report done by the Inquisitr, some of the Legends of Tomorrow cast member were present at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con. Fans were able to know a few details regarding the upcoming season, especially the announcement that aside from the Wave Rider crew, there will be two new groups present in season 2 - The Justice Society of America, and the Legion of Doom.

According to Collider, John Barrowman will reprise his role as Malcolm Merlyn will become the villain that bring together all of their TV universes villains together. The others villains in the roster are Damien Darhk played by Neal McDonough, Matt Letcher's Reverse Flash, and a former and should have been deceased member of the Wave Rider crew, Captain Cold portrayed by Wentworth Miller.

It seems that the showrunners have looked into what was lacking in the first season, and drafted memorable villains from their different TV series. Will fans likely see a Supergirl villain become a member of the Legion of Doom? There could be a possibility, since Supergirl is now on the CW, and works in the same reality as the rest of the CW DC series, and according to Den of Geek, Legends of Tomorrow may be the catalyst that ties in Supergirl to the rest of their shows.

Season 2 of The CW's Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on October 13, 2016.
