PS5 News, Update: Sony Reportedly Prepares Two Models, VR Headset; 'GTA 6' Life-Like Experience, More

By

The PS5 will not be revealed anytime soon as Sony reportedly prepares to showcase the latest consoles at E3 show this June. However, rumors and leaks have been circulating through the web - suggesting that the PS4 successor will come equipped with an ample of interesting features.

The first rumor is related to "GTA 6" which Rockstar is reportedly working on. A few sources claimed that the developer could launch the GTA sequel alongside the PS5 debut which could happen in 2019.

According to tech experts, Sony is unlikely to launch a new console anytime soon but a 2019 release date is expected for the PS5. It is said to ship with VR headset given the sweet success of PS4 in delivering VR experience and there will be two variants of PS5 with technical improvements, according to Heavy.

Sony does not want an immediate counter to Xbox Scorpio that is set to debut soon. Sony's Shuhei Yoshida explained that the company does not plan to release an upgrade every year because it is not applying the mobile phone approach.

The current PS4 Pro delivers immersive VR experience and the recent update has brought 4K support to the console. It does make the picture looks sharper but it lacks powerhouse to render native 4K content. The console is obviously profitable, thus, there is no reason for Sony to launch a successor anytime soon, Gamespot reported.

Nonetheless, it will be no surprise that the PS5 will address many issues that currently appear on PS4 Pro, presumably with 4K Blu-Ray player feature. Sony could also increase the performance a few notches - such as increasing its performance - bringing higher bandwidth to the table. The fanboys might not hear any PS5 announcement, at least not until the end of 2018, I4U reported.
