The comparison was conducted before the chip is officially released and there is still no software update that could upgrade the performance. Thus, the overclocking ability is unidentified at the moment albeit most analysts believe that Ryzen 5 could be a better overclocker.

AMD has stated that it offers a wide range of specs and pricing to provide more options in the mainstream end-user market who often opts for the best while being conscious of the budget. That being said, if the Ryzen 5 CPU series are priced right, most of gamers will likely jump to AMD sweet spot.

Ryzen 5 microchips are expected on April 11 and with the recently released performance patch on "Ashes of Singularity" - it suggests that AMD can still improve the performance of the CPU, according to Hexus.
