‘Space Battleship Yamato 2202’: ‘Gundam’ Writer Takes Charge Of Storyline; New Character; Simultaneous Releases In Amazon, PlayStation [TRAILER]

"Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" latest full trailer has been released showing new storyline and some returning characters from the anime film series, "Yamato 2199." Meanwhile, "Yamato 2022" is having a simultaneous release in Amazon Video, Bonobo, Hikari TV, PlayStation Video, Rakuten ShowTime and Tsutaya TV for fans outside Japan.

The new seven-part film "Space Battleship 2202" series will be set three years after the end of the previous series. Yamato ventures in a new exciting quest to confront Gatlantis evil forces that threaten to distract the peaceful moment across the whole universe, according to Crunchyroll.

As per the casts, a new character will be introduced in the film. Hiroshi Kamiya who played Nozomu Itoshiki in Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei and Levi in Attack on Titan now gives life to the character of Officer Klaus Keyman a Garmillas Combat Military stationed on Earth. Moreover, this character is playing a huge part in the film as his name suggests "Key Man."

Houko Kuwashima and Daisuke Ono are returning to reprise their characters in the new "Space Battleship Yamato 2202" as Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori. Meanwhile, Director Nobuyoshi Habara, the master behind "Exodus" and the creative writer of "Star Blazers 2199," is taking charge of the new film. And not only that, the original writer for the "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" novel and "Harlock: Space Pirate" movie Harutoshi Fukui takes the writing credits for this "Space Battle" film. They will be joined by Junichiro Tamamori and Yasushi Ishizu as the mechanical designers while Nobuteru Yuki as character designer, Otaku PT added.

"Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" Sequel will be released on Japanese theaters next month which will also be simultaneously released for VOD in Amazon Video, and other select video services on February 25, 2017.
