iPad Air Last Series, iPad Pro New Models Release Date Still on Track; Limited Variants Won't Be Confusing Anymore! [RUMOR]

Here's the latest update on Apple's iPad Air and iPad Pro rumors.

iPad Pro 2 release date: 3 new models coming out in 2017

It has been rumored that the upcoming iPad Pro 2 will come in three sizes. As analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said before, there will be 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablets coming out next year. Macotakara blog has also corroborated the rumor by stating that the Pro devices will receive upgrades including better navigation and display technology, MacRumors reported.

iPad Air 3 release date: the last series arriving in 2017

As the consequence of iPad Pro 2's three new tablets release, Apple may cut down the iPad variants. The iPad Air 3 is said to be the last generation of Air tablet coming out in 2017. Apple is rumored to discontinue its production due to the release of thinner iPad Pro 2, which is said to be a better-performed tablet in many ways.

The rumored specs on iPad Pro 2 includes a powerful chip, A10X. With that being said, it is highly unlikely for Apple to develop a new iPad Air because the Pro can take over.

Furthermore, Kuo has even said that the iPad Pro tablets will receive major overhaul in 2018 as the Cupertino-based tech giant will bring OLED panel to the variants, according to 9to5Mac.

In addition to iPad Air discontinuation rumor, Apple is speculated to kill off iPad Mini line due to the smallest variant of iPad Pro 2 that could come in 7.9-inch size.

iPad Pro 2, iPad Air 3 release date

iPad Pro 2 and iPad Air 3 are expected to be unveiled in March 2017. Apple could simultaneously release the two variants in a single event next year. Now that there won't be iPad Air or iPad Mini, Apple might focus on iPad Pro tablet sales without confusing its loyal consumers.
