Google's desire to be at par with high-caliber Apple iPhone has led them to the launching of Pixel phones. With this head-to-head comparison, which of the two has better camera, performance and features that comes with the right price?

Camera Specs

Google Pixel phones featured a 12.3MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing with an aperture of f/2.0 and 1.55 micron pixels that are big enough to capture light from the surrounding environment according to Google blog. While iPhone 7 has 7MP front facing camera and 12MP rear with telephoto feature.

Physical Design, Display

Both Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus feature a 5.5-inch display. However, Pixel offers higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 compare to iPhone 7 Plus which is 1920 x 1080. For this matter, Pixel phones have higher pixel density of 534 ppi compared to iPhone 7 Plus with 401 ppi only, CNET reported.

When it comes to connectivity, Pixel phones support USB-C while iPhone 7 utilizes the Lightning Connector. Google retain the 3.55mm headphone jack while Apple use wireless AirPods in replacement for the wired headsets. 

Performance

Pixel phones are run by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 version whereas A10 chip (64-bit) powers the iPhone 7. For the operating system, Pixel phones has become the first device to run the latest version of Nougat, the Android 7.1 while iPhone 7 runs an iOS 10.

When it comes to memory, Pixel phones has a built-in 4G of RAM while Apple has not disclosed any information for iPhone 7. However, when it comes to storage iPhone 7 comes in three varieties - 32GB, 128GB and 256FB. Pixel phones only have two storages available the 32GB and 128GB.

In addition, both smartphones have non-removable batteries. Pixel phones have 3450 mAh battery capacity rate iPhone 7 can last for 21 hours talk time on 3G, 16 days standby and 13 hours LTE for internet use.

Price

Both units can be purchased off-contract and both have the same price for 32GB model that cost $769 and $869 for the 128GB. The only difference is iPhone 7 offers 256GB with a price tag $969.
