'Pokemon Sun And Moon' New Trailer Revealed; See New Pokemon That Will Join The Game's Already Impressive Roster Of Characters [VIDEO]

While the scheduled November release for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" on 3DS is just round the corner, more Pokemon rumored to be in the game have surfaced online.

Nintendo recently rolled out its latest "Pokemon Sun and Moon" trailer during its panel at Gamescom event held on Thursday, August 18. The new Pokemon is said to be one of the most powerful creatures in the imminent game's roster of characters, according to GameRant.

A perfect blend of a dragon and turtle, the creature is named, Turtonator. Classified as a fire and dragon type Pokemon, Turtonator is similar to a dragon. It sports a long tail but its head looks like a star with numerous points. The new Pokemon rocks a large turtle-like shell on its back. It is rumored to be found only around volcanic areas in the upcoming game's Alola region.

The recently revealed trailer also gives a sneak-peek of the new creature's attack and defense moves. The aforementioned Pokemon can defend itself with its Shell Armor ability. Plus, it packs high-defense level that makes defeating the creature quite challenging. A turtle-like dragon creature's attack move on the other hand, has been named as the Shell Trap; which when activated, sends out laser-like explosion targeted at the opponent that would next attack the Turtunator. See the trailer below:

Some players are likely to become inquisitive regarding the Turtunator's full appearance. The purported Pokemon is said to display its back only during fights and only move its head sideways in order to check the surroundings. The most vulnerable part of the creature i.e. its belly, is always hidden from its opponent.

Nevertheless, citing its never-before-seen physical appearance, coupled with its abilities, the Turtonator may turn out to be one of the strongest Pokemon creatures in "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

More Pokemon Unveiled For 'Pokemon Sun and Moon'

In other news regarding Pokemon that will be in the game, Forbes unveiled a slew of other Pokemons gamers can look to capture in the upcoming game.

Number one is a fighting type Pokemon dubbed Crabrawler, which is based on a coconut crab. Sandygast, and its evolved form of Palossand are the next Pokemon to join the roster. This is a ghost and ground Pokemon and resembles a sand castle. Finally, we have another fighting type Pokemon dubbed, Stufful which is based on a red panda. Stufful is said to evolve into Bewear.

No-doubt, the aforesaid Pokemon perfectly fit into the theme set by the Alola islands in "Pokemon Sun and Moon," as in terms of animals you might bump into on a tropical island. However, the studio seems to have taken the concept a bit far with the sand castle inspired Sandygast and Palossand.

See the video clip below to see Crabrawler, Sandygast, Palossand, and Stufful in action:

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is slated to hit the store shelves on November 18 for the Nintendo 3DS platform.
