Sony is pleasantly surprised of the big sales that they are getting with the PlayStation 4 Pro consoles recently. It is believed that one PS4 Pro was sold for every five other PlayStation 4s getting purchased since Nov. 2016.

PS4 Pro Selling Quite Well

Sony recently revealed that the PS4 Pro is selling well this time around, despite not revealing its official sales numbers to the public. They did, however, make a comparison that since its launch, one in every five PS4s sold in the market has been a PS4 Pro. This is a better ratio than they expected due to its price, and its advantage of having 4K resolution for 4K TVs, the game company told Polygon in an exclusive interview.

PS4 Pro Way Ahead Of Expectations

Sony global sales chief Jim Ryan revealed that the PS4 Pro is way ahead of their expectations. Similarly to the PlayStation VR, they predicted that it would not sell well, which is why that it has low supplies. This makes the one in a five ration way better and more impressive than it was revealed.

Rumors Of Console Demise Premature

CEO and President Shawn Layden said that all of the rumors about the demise of the consoles have been premature. He also pointed out that the PS4 and Xbox One sales have been booming and vibrant compared to the past. Sony revealed that they have an advantage against the Xbox One in North America with a two to one ratio and in Europe a three to one ratio.

PS4 Slim Gold Edition Confirmed

Last week, it was revealed that there will be a gold PS4 Slim edition in the future. Now, a new Target weekly ad was revealed for this week and it showed off the golden console system. Sony has not yet officially announced or confirmed this, but gamers will have to wait until then, according to the official forums of NeoGAF.
