Strengths of AMD Ryzen CPU

Naples chips are the main factor why Ryzen CPUs of AMD has been considered as the most significant consumer product in a decade. According to PC World, these chips served as the bridge of AMD with its Zen architecture in catering high-margin server businesses such as Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4.

For this reason, major manufacturers and hardware vendors such as Dell and HP have expressed their interest for AMD Ryzen CPU. Since they are not AMD's previous vendors, they are asked by the company to wait unlike its traditional PC boutiques that will receive the Ryzen chips alongside system integrators.

With AMD Ryzen CPU's strengths, the upcoming chipsets are expected to take on the high-end processors of Intel such as Core i5 and Core i7. On the other hand, AMD has also hinted about the Ryzen follow-up which is revealed on their roadmap which is the Zen 2 and Zen 3 as well as the upcoming 7-nm technology.

AMD Ryzen is Available in 4-Core and 6-Core Only

Since AMD is vocal in taking down Intel high-end processors, everybody was quite surprised when Ryzen chips are only available in 4-core and 8-core while Intel has 6-core chips such as Core i7-6800K and Core i7-6850K. According to Forbes, AMD might have not look into the importance of 6-core CPU given the fact they offer lower gains from multi-threaded performance.

AMD Ryzen CPU is expected to be revealed in the second quarter while the Vega GPU will be ship on the same quarter as well. Raven Ridge, a Zen-based APU will also make a public appearance which is designed for notebooks. AMD Ryzen chipsets will have a lower price point compared to Intel's processors.
