The iPad has always been the standard when it comes to tablets being a pioneer in coming up with the innovation that leaves it open to be challenged for it dominant position. One challenge comes from Lenovo. The Lenovo Yoga Book, runs Android and on Windows 10 in two separate models.

Apple iPad Pro 9.7

Tablet sales have been a slowdown but those with detachable keyboards have actually grown. It came as no surprise that Apple came out with its own version in a 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro. Though Apple touted it could be the "ultimate PC replacement," which is not, it is still one of the best tablets one can buy, according to Engadget.

What is good about the iPad Pro 9.7 is that it combined the power of the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro and incorporated the thin frame design of the iPad Air 2. This, however, cannot replace a laptop, but it sure can beat any tablet it pitted against.

Lenovo Yoga Book (Windows 10)

The Lenovo Yoga Book comes with a most unusual design, and it is not only for aesthetics. The super portable 2-in-1 incorporates a Wacom sketchpad that also doubles as a QWERTY keyboard, reported c|net.

The Lenovo Yoga Book's design can instantly appeal to creative professionals, though it might not be as practical for others. Its most striking specification is its keyboard, or what is supposed to be its keyboard, is completely flat, that alternates as a drawing tablet. Lenovo calls this as the Instant Halo touch-based keyboard, that apparently has undergone three years of development just to get the response just right.

The Lenovo Yoga Book is a forward thinking device that could craft a niche on its own. However, its low power components are its biggest drawback against its competition for this first generation device. It has possibilities, and perhaps future development and iterations could give it better appeal as a secondary device.
