Apple is launching the newest addition to its iPad Pro family, the iPad Pro 2. New details leak out suggesting the possible release date of the latest iPad,while the ongoing sale of iPad units is backing the claim.

iPad Pro has not received any update since 2015 and iPad fans are feeling left out; however, reports suggest that new updated versions are coming this year. Apple has not released any confirmation about the iPad 2 but a leaked information suggests that it may come in 3 different sizes.

In a note issued by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo to investors, the Apple insider revealed that Apple is expected to bring an update to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, AppleInsider wrote. Apple is keen to introduce to new model design in 10 to 10.5 inches and 9.7-inch models. Both iPad 2 units shall sport a bezel-less display.

Moreover, this iPad Pro 2 leak entails that a mini version is not coming out anytime soon. Ditching the new iPad mini, however, does not devalue the releases as the Pro version is going to have Apple Pencil support and magnetic Smart Connector. The 12.9- and 10+-inch models will run the powerful A10X chips. Meanwhile, the 9.7-inch iPad is packed with the A9 chips which is actually not bad for a budget phone variant.

Meanwhile, previous models of iPad are still on sale having $100 markdown on their price tags. The 9.7-inch iPad is being retailed by Best Buy at $499 from $599 original price. This ongoing sale has begun since December as Holiday promo which still runs as of press time. Apple onlookers speculate that Apple retail partners are emptying their shelves for the upcoming iPad Pro 2.

Reports suggest that iPad Pro 2 would be on sale by March 2017. Other reports suggest that in may actually fall in between April and June. The indefinite release date, however, will surely fall this 2017.
