The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is making slow but steady firsts after she joined the Royal Family. First, she started re-wearing dresses and gowns on several different occasions. This ignited a trend that shows wearing the same dress is okay. It is also an affordable alternative for many and encourages people to style the outfit with different accessories. This is totally a different path than that of Princess Diana.

Now, Kate Middleton is breaking tradition once again. The Duchess of Cambridge is using her History of Art major from the University of St. Andrews to take pictures of her Royal children. Something that has never been done before.

The Royal Family used to hire a professional and designated photographer to take pictures of any member. This time, Kate Middleton decided to take the pictures of her daughter Princess Charlotte and son Prince George, as reported by OK! According to reports, the first official photos of the Royal children were taken by Middleton.

It looks like Kate Middleton is also redefining the art of taking pictures and at the same time reminded everyone that there is no need to spend money to take pictures if one can do it himself.

The wife of Prince William studied history of art at St. Andrew's University and graduated with honors, as reported by The Telegraph. It is from there that she learned techniques and composition. Because of this, the Royal Photographic Society has made the Duchess an honorary member. According to Dr. Michael Pritchard, the Chief Executive of the Royal Photographic Society, Kate Middleton is the latest addition in the society and he welcomes her talent to the group.

There is also another "first" when it comes to Kate Middleton. According to Pop Sugar, she is the first royal bride in the UK with a degree. She will be the first to have ever attended a university if she ever becomes queen.
