Nintendo Switch will arrive in March 2017 and while it may be tempting to purchase PS4 Pro at or Wii U for Christmas, there are four solid reasons why Nintendo's upcoming console is worth the wait (and money).

1. It's portable

Nintendo Switch is designed with versatility in mind. At home, it can be a console put on a dock. On the go, players can simply pick it up from its dock and it quickly becomes a handheld device. This is especially great for avid gamers who don't like to miss a single level of a title.

PS4 Pro and Wii U, on the other hand, do not offer such feature. And although PlayStation is reportedly developing a handheld device next year, there is no legitimate source that could support the rumor. This has made the Switch a more solid choice to consider.

2. It's powerful

Nintendo Switch specs and benchmark scores have been leaked by many sources and gamers have been updated with the recent reports of its performance.

The 4K video capability is said to be powered by the Tegra X2 chip. To put into perspective, the Tegra X1 has 256 core GPU for impressive graphics and performance.

Compared to the one in PS4 Pro, the Jaguar 8-core might come with more premium architecture according to BGR but given the Switch's portability and affordability, the latter could actually be a better alternative.

As for Wii U, it is unable to deliver impressive performance albeit the ability to support high definition graphics.

3. Popular titles coming soon for the console

Nintendo Switch hasn't arrived yet but dozens of studios have confirmed to develop gamers' most-beloved titles for the console, Polygon reported. Some of the popular devs include Capcom, Bethesda, Square Enix, Konami and Ubisoft.

4. It's far cheaper

The price is one of the buying decisions that gamers might consider. Nintendo Switch is speculated to have a $249 pricepoint. PS4 Pro sells for $399 and the Wii U is being offered at $299.
