Can't decide between Google Pixel XL and Huawei Mate 9? Here's a full comparison!

Huawei Mate 9 Specs Review

Huawei Mate 9 is a phablet sporting 5.9-inch IPS LCD display. It's quite big but surprisingly doesn't feel bulky. It has a smaller pixel density of 373 ppi for its 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution screen.

Mate 9 runs Android Nougat out of the box and is powered by an octa-core, Kirin 960 chip, ZDNET reported. It pairs 64 GB internal storage with 4 GB RAM. Huawei ups the camera department by using a dual-lens module from Leica, one with 20 MP and another with 12 MP.

This is an excellent set of optics that shutterbugs will definitely love. The rear camera packs OIS, 2X zoom feature along with laser autofocus and FDAF.

Huawei crafts Mate 9 with selfie-addicts in mind. The front shooter packs 8 MP sensor with wide-angle feature. The fast-charging battery that packs 4,000 mAh capacity, takes 90 minutes to reach 100 percent from 0. There is a set of stereo speakers located at the bottom of the handset.

Huawei Mate 9 however, comes with a few drawbacks. It is quite an expensive device that should come with an AMOLED display or at least IP68 certification.

Google Pixel XL Specs Review

Pixel XL is more compact with 5.5-inch size. It packs more pixel density (534 ppi) for the AMOLED display (1440 x 2560 pixels). The optic pair 12.5MP and 8MP sensors - which according to Android Central - is one of the best cameras.

A quad-core, Snapdragon 821 chip is used to power the device. The processor allows Pixel XL to have a slightly faster performance than Mate 9. Users have the option to purchase either 32 or 128 GB of internal storage that's respectively paired with 4 GB RAM.

Sadly, there is no external memory storage and the battery packs a disappointing capacity of 2,770 mAh.

Huawei Mate 9 or Google Pixel XL?

Both devices bring so much power to the table but Huawei Mate 9 has all the right things to win the battle. It has memory expansion feature, decent audio quality, fast performance, and dual-lens camera loaded with features. Although it costs more expensive and doesn't get Google Assistant, Huawei Mate 9 is a better value than Google Pixel XL.
