Huawei Honor 8 specs review: Design

Honor 8 does not have an impressively premium look but the aluminum frame does look sleek. It is a 5.2 inch phone but it is slimmer than the iPhone 6S. It's got 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and relatively high pixel density of 423 ppi.

Moving on to its optics, Honor 8 sports dual 12 MP of rear camera, GSM Arena wrote. This is a special feature as the pair is able to take sharp and crisp photos in details. It also gets hybrid auto-focus feature which can focus fast for short range. Its 8 MP of front shooter features a selfie mode, perfect for good-angle self shots. Plus, it snaps ultra-sharp selfies.

Huawei Honor 8 specs review: Hardware and software

Honor 8 runs Android Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 interface. The handset is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. This is an excellent combination for multitasking without glitches. And as far as the hardware is concerned, other smartphones would cost at least $100 more expensive.

The handset gets 3,000 mAh battery with fast-charging feature. Other components include USB type C, fingerprint scanner, and Bluetooth 4.2. Huawei Honor 8 is available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Gold.

Honor 8 might not be as famous as Samsung Galaxy S series or China's Xiaomi Note 3 but for a handset at a price of $399.99, Huawei delivers power and performance like how the high-end phones do. It is a solid choice for users who want to get beast-specs smartphone. You don't need to pay too much for that.
