In today's rapidly changing modern world, most of the high-paying jobs are found in the tech industry. While these jobs are the ones in-demand right now, it is not everyone's cup of tea.

This is why Business Insider shared 13 high-paying jobs that don't require staring at a computer the whole day. The data was gathered from the Occupational Information Network (O*NET), which is a database of the U.S. Department of Labor that provides detailed information on hundreds of jobs.

Postal service mail carrier

Professionals with this job sort mail for delivery and deliver mail on a pre-determined route. It has an average annual pay of $58,280.

Boilermaker

Boilermakers construct, put together, maintain as well as fix stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. They also align structures or plate sections to put together boiler frame tanks or vats. It has a median annual pay of $60,120.

First-line supervisor of construction trades and extraction workers

This job mainly focuses on directly supervising and coordinating activities of construction or extraction workers. It has a median annual pay of $62,070.

Subway or streetcar operator

These are the people who operate the subway or elevated suburban trains with no separate locomotive or electric-powered streetcar. It has an average annual pay of $62,360.

Some of the responsibilities of a professional signal or track switch repairer are installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electric gate crossings, signals and signal equipment, among others. It has an average annual pay of $63,840.

Farm or ranch manager

Farm or ranch managers plan, direct or coordinate the management and operation of farms, ranches, greenhouses or other agricultural establishments. It has a median annual pay of $64,170.

Electrical power-line installer or repairer

These professionals install or repair cables or wires that are used in electrical power or distribution systems. It has a median annual pay of $66,450.
