Not a lot of people were lucky enough to witness a celebrity campaigning for their chosen 2016 presidential candidate. A few featured concerts and dinners while there are those who popped in colleges and universities all over the country to rally their candidate.

A few weeks ago, Miley Cyrus did her part to campaign for her candidate Hillary Clinton. She personally knocked on the college dorms and took selfies with the students at the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

The main reason why these celebrities are targeting college and university students because it is the easiest means to rally millennials. Millennials currently hold the largest voting bloc in the whole United States. And Hillary Clinton was not afraid to enlist the help of these celebrities. According to the Lewis Flyer, Cyrus is not the only celebrity to make a surprise appearance on campus.

Artist Katy Perry also hit the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton. She also made personal stops at each dormitory floor and encouraged the students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to register early. She also said her piece as to why they should vote for somebody like Hillary Clinton.

Actress Anne Hathaway also appeared in another college to campaign for Hillary. These are the most famous celebrities that went out of their way to do their part for the elections. But there are those who show their support for their candidate using their social media platforms.

While some college students appreciate the effort coming from celebrities, there are those who feel that using celebrities for endorsements is a pointless cause.

However, in November 8, 2016, it was a narrow race between Clinton and Trump. And although Clinton did not win the 2016 presidential election, many agreed that it was a close call.

In November 9, 2016, a day after the elections, Hillary Clinton concedes to Donald Trump by showcasing her speech.
