"Dishonored 2" copies are already being distributed to gamers in the form of a pre-load. The Nov. 11 release date brings with it a sizable update for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Also, it was reported that the game will be using Denuvo's DRM anti-tamper system.

The 9-gigabyte "Dishonored 2" update will include improvements for the texture streamer, shadow quality, reloading time, audio mix and frame-rate performance. Moreover, the update adds a mid-mission statistic screen, screenshot preview among various bug fixes, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

Furthermore, the Steam Store page for the game was recently updated. "Dishonored 2" uses the Denuvo DRM, which is a third-party anti-tamper system. The same DRM can be found in many other high-profile games released in the past couple of years. Wherein, it proved to be very successful in its goal of thwarting piracy of AAA PC game. It practically made it impossible to crack the games even months after their release, VG247 reported.

Bethesda, the game's developer, suggested players be online on the release date to get the update to be able to play. The update will be around 9-gigabytes depending on the platform being used. This will be on top of the already hefty 48-gigabyte pre-load copy that has already been made available to gamers.

The game will be playable a day before the scheduled release date if it was pre-ordered. This case applies to both physical copies and digital versions.

In other news, game reviews will not be available at "Dishonored 2's" launch. Bethesda's new policy regarding media copies implies that those will only be made available a day before the launch.

Gamers and members of the media alike will simply have to wait. Bethesda has completed development and promises the game to be worth it. However, fans reserve the right to make this judgement when the game comes out.
