There is a reason why a game gets remastered, despite the fact that it's solely for aesthetic purposes-- it's because the game is that good. This is the case for "Skyrim" which was recently remastered and released by Bethesda as "The Edler Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition." As such, long-devoted fans and new players alike are reading up on reviews to get a sizable feel on what to expect from the remastered version of the game.

It has been five years since the original release of "Skyrim" and Bethesda has recently launched a remastered version of the game on Oct. 28, which was released for PC, Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4. However, one review might say that the improvements from the original might depend on where you are coming from as a gamer, Rock Paper Shotgun stated.

Since the graphical state and overall performance of the game differ from PC and consoles, fans of the game might have different expectations of the remastered "Skyrim."

For console gamers, it seems that the most common review to it is an improvement from a hazed 720p to a sharper and detailed 1080p, Rock Paper Shotgun reported.

As for long-time fans playing on PC, Rock Paper Shotgun stated in its review that there isn't much of an improvement from the original, especially when you are the type of gamer who has applied tons of texture-pack mods to "Skyrim." Moreover, if a certain gamer is coming from the original version of the game to its remastered iteration, one must be cautious as there have been incidents reported of old saves not porting or loading properly by "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition," the source learned.

However, it was also mentioned that there is a stark difference for PC gamers between the original and the latest release of the game. The "Skyrim" remastered version has been bumped from 32-bit to 64-bit, Rock Paper Shotgun noted.

As such, the source is expecting that there will be more improvements in the game's mods since it can handle more load in its memory. In the future, fans could expect more mods dishing out more massive battles into the game.

One example of this would be the recent custom battle made by Cosmic Contrarian, Kotaku reported.

With the new remastered version for "Skyrim," he was able to create a battle between a hundred dragons against a thousand archers, which he said was something impossible to do in the original version, Kotaku stated.

Whatever version of the game it is, one thing is for sure-- since the original release, fans are still loving the game "Skyrim."
