The upcoming Galaxy S8 is rumored to run Android 7.1 Nougat; however, Samsung has hinted about the rolling out of Android 7.0 or Nougat to 20 of its handsets before the year ends, including the flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. See the full list of devices here!

Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy Models

Just recently, Samsung is reported to be rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to 20 of its handsets before the year ends. Root Update provided the list of Samsung Galaxy models that are about to receive the latest mobile operating updates.

Alongside the flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the following Samsung Galaxy models are believed to receive the latest patch of android in December: S6, S6 EDGE, Note 5, Note 4, Note 3, Note 1, S4, S3, Grand Prime, S2, Ace 3, S5, A5, A8, Alpha, J7 and J5.

Android 7.1 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S8

Although others may claim that the upcoming Galaxy S8 has been damaged by the Galaxy Note 7 just before it's released to the public, Samsung's new flagship smartphone seems to be shaping up to pick up where the Note 7 left. According to Android Authority, Galaxy S8 will feature an improved camera, best artificial intelligence services, 6GB of RAM packed in a slicker body and a full-screen 4k display.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S8 is said to compete with Google Pixel phones thus, it is presumed that the next flagship will run Android 7.1 Nougat. According to unverified rumors, it is also likely for Galaxy S8 to have Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed during purchase.

None of these rumors have been confirmed directly by Samsung except on the phone's launching date. According to Android Authority, Samsung might launched Galaxy S8 in 2017 during the Mobile World Congress in February in contrast to the early release date issues pointing to December of this year.
