GoPro is not just your ordinary action camera, since it has proven to document all action-packed adventures of its users. It also has a close connection with drones.

The small and lightweight size of the GoPro is ideal for users to mount it on drones for recording purposes. This was the case when drone manufacturers have not yet integrated a camera on their drones, as posted in Uber Gizmo.

The good news is GoPro is now integrating its camera into its own drone - the GoPro Karma, which is now made available for purchase. The Passenger app was also launched along with the GoPro Karma drones, and it will allow users to see what the camera is seeing. It also allows the user to control the drone through accessing the app, according to Android Police.

In order for your drone to avoid hijacking, the Passenger has a feature that will require the permission of the pilot to enable the app's controller before it can be used. The app has also created a password-protected 5 GHz network; therefore, not everyone can easily hack through what the user can see.

The Passenger app enables the user to take control of the drone's camera, through functions such as tilt, resolution, modes, framerates, and so on. Such features can be used for film crews, since piloting the drone is already possible for one person and controlling the camera could be done by another person.

Before downloading the app, it requires an operating system of at least Android 4.2 Jellybean or higher. The app can be downloaded in iTunes App Store or Google Play. This GoPro Karma is meant to compete with the DJI Mavic Pro's impressive features. The launching of the GoPro Karma addresses the demand for an advanced drone in the market. Users have to be near the drone always, since it requires WiFi to be connected.
