Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil the Mi Note 2 in an event slated to take place next week, but the company's upcoming flagship has already surfaced online in form of a leaked presentation PPT slide.

The Mi Note 2 is expected to be quite beefed up under the hood, with a Snapdragon 821 SoC backed by a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU, coupled with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a dual camera setup on the rear featuring a 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor, apace with a 12MP Sony IMX378 shooter. In addition, an 8MP front shooter is available for selfie addicts, according to leaked slide spotted on Chinese Social network Weibo, as cited by AndroidPure.

The leaked slides show that the Mi Note 2 will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display paired with Force Touch, and bearing a resolution of 1440 x 2560. But that's not all, as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner from Qualcomm is embedded under the display.

The device packs a robust 4100mAh battery. Equipped with Quick Charge capabilities, the cell can be charged in a jiffy. The iris scanner offers an alternate way to unlock the device, and the handset supports Mi Pay as it is an NFC enabled device, Phone Arena reported.

The Mi Note 2's version featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at the equivalent of $415, while the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be up for grabs for an equivalent of $445.

In other news, a pretty stacked version of Xiaomi Mi 5S has recently surfaced in China. The Mi 5S is Xiaomi's current-gen flagship smartphone, and it boasts an array of awe-inspiring specs and functionalities. But if latest reports are anything to go by, Xiaomi is set to release a better handset.

An image showing a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant of the Mi 5S surfaced online on Weibo. The said newer version of the Mi 5S will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow straight out the box, and will sport the same features as the original Mi 5S.
