Samsung Galaxy S8 handsets, which are slated to be released in 2017, are the upcoming competitors of the newly launched Google Pixel Phones. Leaked specs and features of the phone prove one thing - that Android users are not likely to buy the Pixel phones made by Google and Galaxy S8 is worth waiting for.

The following are the leaked features of Samsung Galaxy S8 handsets that will make Android users rethink about buying the Pixel phones:

Display

Though Apple has initially hinted about the complete removal of physical home button to the presumed iPhone 8, Samsung might be the one to do it first on their Galaxy S8 handsets. According to Digital Trends, there are two options considered for the virtual home button - the integration to the display or hidden under a tempered glass, thus, resulting to a bezel-less phone.

Furthermore, Galaxy S8 handsets is rumored to come in two models - regular display and EDGE that will feature two sizes the 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch. These handsets are expected to surpass its predecessors for having  a 4K resolution for virtual reality purposes.

Dual-Lens Camera

Samsung Galaxy S8 camera is rumored to be similar to the specs of a DSLR camera. The quality of the captured photos may be at par with those DSLR through the use of Samsung ISOCELL S5K2L1 and SONY IMX260 sensors, according to Forbes.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to run an Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipsets for the processor. This gives 70 percent boost in performance compared to previous Galaxy models.

New Ports

Samsung has reportedly killed off the 3.5mm headphone jack in Galaxy S8 handsets in favor of USB-C ports; however, according to the same publication, it will not be surprising if Samsung will add a 3.5mm adapter for headphones just like Apple did to its Lightning for iPhones.
