The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is one of the most anticipated laptop replacement of the year. While others would claim that MacBook Pro 2016 is a state-of-the-art and a master piece, tech anaysts say otherwise as the new portable machine of Apple has features that are totally disappointed. 

Apple Killed Off Traditional Ports in New Mac

Unbeknownst to many, Apple has already introduced the USB-C Port in the 12-inch MacBook model, wherein one of the port's functionality in the old Mac is supplying power. But the case will be different for MacBook Pro 2016 since four USB-C ports are rumored to be included in the new mac for power, data and display functionalities, Slash Gear reported.

As a result, having four USB-C ports in MacBook Pro 2016 has led to the death of Thunderbolt 2 and USB Type-A - the main ports used in the older versions of Mac. Aside from that, Apple is also planning to do away with MagSafe 2 power connector, and just have a USB-C port for charging outlet instead.

No Headphone Jack

Apple has no doubt in mind when they killed off the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack in the newly launched iPhone 7, replacing it with wireless headphones called AirPods. Though Apple has not hinted about doing away the audio jack in MacBook Pro 2016, the inclusion of USB-C Ports could mean a thing, according to BGR.

Besides, if in case Apple has indeed removed the old technology for headphones, there is a possibility of having a Lightning Port in MacBook Pro 2016 to accommodate 3.5mm adapters. Apple is targeting to deliver a slimmer and thinner MacBook for this year, and eliminating the 3.5mm headphone jack would mean saving more space.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date

Up until this moment, Apple remains tight-lipped about the launching date of MacBook Pro 2016 and other products; however, credible sources like MacOtakara claims that Apple is likely to introduce MacBook Pro 2016 in Oct. 27, alongside MacBook Air and iMac.
