As the latest launching of the Xbox series ensued, bragging in the main title "Gears of War 4", the Coalition, its developer also hyped up the event by releasing a statement that its developer team is in deep serious talks with Universal Pictures over turning the game series into a film. Fans were equally delighted by such move and instantly spewed out interesting theories about the film is going to look like.

"The first Gears of War followed Marcus Fenix and his ludicrously chunky friends as they fought against the Locust - a race of beefcake aliens who live underground and are obsessed with luminous goo called 'emulsion''', the Verge stated.

The idea of adapting the game into a movie had already hit the talks before. Apparently, New Line Cinema has already set some deals with its developer the same year the game was released. Albeit, the plan did not successfully take off due to specific factors. On factor, as Rod Fergusson, head of the Coalition, would put it, is that the producers' main interest was making a movie for the gamers.

For him- that was a big mistake. Obviously, he insists, the "Gears of War" has a very promising storyline. With a potential such as the one the game holds, it would nearly be futile to build it merely out of game interest, the Verge again reported.

Now, since this project is no longer a new motion made by the Universal Pictures, it will complacently be tagged as a revival.

Fergusson, also mentioned in his statement that the developer team and producers from Universal Pictures are currently on transition mode. The transition mode indicates that major development deals are being seriously discussed by the two parties and that post-production is at hand, AV Club reported.
