For quite a while now, Sling TV made major advantage over Sony's PlayStation Vue by being the sole streaming service to offer HBO is well as Cinemax. Earlier this month, Sony had announced a promise that both of these channels are going to be integrated in its services and just recently, it made its promise possible by making HBO and Cinemax channels available on PlayStation Vue.

Unlike the Sling TV, PlayStation Vue streaming service offers two options to customers in terms of their billing system. One choice users could choose is that both HBO and Cinemax are available as stand-alone channels that each costs $15 a month. The other option is that, both channels are included in the newest Ultra Plan of the streaming service, launched by PlayStation Vue on Thursday, Yahoo News reported.

The Ultra plan is a major step in improving the PlayStation Vue Elite plan, the previous plan available on PlayStation Vue. The Ultra plan, however, offers a similar service to that of the Elite plan, but the Ultra plan has HBO and Showtime in it. If you're already a subscriber of the Elite plan and decides to shift to the new Ultra, the most practical and viable choice is to just add up both of these channels since it will only cost $20, in contrast to the $30 if bought individually, according to c|net.

The Ultra plan costs $65 a month, $75 if users are on the market where a number of major live local broadcast stations are as well present, in contrast with the cheaper elite plan which cost $45 or $55 for the Elite. For users who wants to just have one or two channels and don't need all the channels offered in the Elite package, paying for added channels that costs $30-$45 is a more viable choice.

But this isn't the only one news that concerns HBO and Sony that was shared just recently. HBO Now app is finally available on PlayStation 4 and 3 consoles. PlayStation Vue users who integrated HBO in their services are free to access the app, while it costs $15 a month for those who didn't subscribe to PlayStation Vue.
