The release of an iPhone 7 without the 3.5 mm headphone jack appears to be somewhat a preparation for the public for the upcoming "MacBook Pro 2016" without audio jack. But valid reports claimed that Apple is likely to retain the 3.5mm old technology to address the consumers concern expressed through the survey conducted by the Cupertino-based tech company.

Apple did not issued any statements regarding the exclusion of USB-C port in iPhone 7 rather retain its proprietary lightning port. The same case in unlikely to happen in "MacBook Pro 2016" where 9 to 5 Mac reported that Apple is in the realm of confusion whether to retain the 3.5mm headphone socket or totally scrap the idea of wireless headset for the 2016 flagship. As concluded by the same source, Apple will totally kill off headphone jack in the 2018 model of MacBook Pro and retain in "MacBook Pro 2016".

On the other hand, analysts believe that two models of "MacBook Pro 2016" will be released in October - 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch. Forbes reported that two variants of Apple laptops will be powered by Intel Skylake. This is in contrast to the previous speculations regarding the Kaby Lake processor to be installed in the upcoming MacBook Pro. Intel has previously announced that the 7^th generation chipset Kaby Lake will be released in the second quarter of 2017 thus compelled Apple to retain the Skylake series. But here's the catch - Apple is considering AMD for the upcoming MacBook Pro graphics processor.

Furthermore, analysts are expecting another Apple product to be launched in October alongside "MacBook Pro 2016" and that includes the 13.3-inch MacBook Air that was once rumored to be killed off by the Cupertino-based tech giant. According to the statement of HIS, Apple planned to launch the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air in September but since there are only few days left in the month of September, the company has decided to pushed the launching date in October.
