"Red Dead Redemption" fans gathered at the Electronic Entertainment Expo to witness its long-anticipated Season 2 launch. But both the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation events ended without a hint of the Red Dead Redemption sequel.

Amid frustrations, fans have maintained their cool believing rumors that "Red Dead Redemption 2" release may have been cancelled due to its trailer's violent content. Many specifically pointed out the Orlando Shooting as the main reason why "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been pushed back.

Later on, BitBag affirmed that Orlando Shooting was the reason why "Red Dead Redemption" sequel 2 was not showcased at this year's E3.  Speculations linking Red Dead Redemption launch with the Orlando killing said that RD trailer contained violent footage depicting a massacre that led Rockstar execs pulled back their presentation to show respect to the victims and affected families.

Days passed, many believed the theories since they are plausible given the reputation of Rockstar for controversial and violent content. However, PlayStation Vice President of Third Party Relations & Developer Technology Group Adam Boyes said that rumors surrounding the "Red Dead Redemption 2" and the speculations bragging the Orlando incident into the picture are all not true, iDigital Times reported.

As a matter of fact, Sony PlayStation has never intended to show off or tease a new game from Rockstar during its E3 event at all. The ruckus about "Red Dead Redemption 2" revelation on E3 was all fan made and, somehow, baseless. Some may have thought Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick's statement that their studio will show up at E3 in such a big way as a hint, the announcement was taken out of proportion. Alas, he has never hinted a new game coming from Rockstar.

But hope for "Red Dead Redemption 2" must not die. Rocktar does not depend solely depend on E3 to make a massive launch for the sequel of Red Dead Redemption, GTA Tipster and Youtuber MrBossFTW explained.

Watch Sony E3 Event below. What do you think? Could "Red Dead Redeption 2" still be out in 2016?
