"Overwatch's" population has undeniably grown into a massive gamer community which size exploded into seven million players only on its first week on the market. However, there is a seeming problem that arises within the gaming circle as friends, players use different consoles - PS4 and Xbox One cross-play. But you better not fret because Blizzard is open to the idea of removing these barriers at some point in the future.

Two weeks spent with "Overwatch" would have been enough to be aware that this smash hit multiplayer shooter is totally unsupported in cross-platform. And it is entirely unnatural to see PS4 and Xbox One owners kept separate, since this case has historically been the trend of almost everything on the market. This is the reason why some fans were surprised to know that there would not be a cross-play in PC/PS4 or PC/Xbox One, iDgital Times reported.

Blizzard is planning to "keep an eye" on the demand for cross-platform support, "Overwatch" tweeted. Even as the studio is dubious to change its stance on the mixing keyboard and controller players, it is not quite surprising to consider Blizzard joining "Rocket League" and "Killer Instinct" on the short list of games that may let PS4 and Xbox One players fight one another. Maybe, a little more push and demand from the "Overwatch" community could lead Blizzard to a fine decision.

In other "Overwatch" news, Blizzard seemed to be uninformed about the call to pin down a return window for ranked matchmaking. Initially, the studio planned to open competitive play back up at the first part of June, which is evidently not yet happening, iDgital Times added. But last June 4, "Overwatch" tweeted its plan to release competitive matchmaking by the end of June.
