The University of Iowa has made a more accessible educational approach by launching a mobile museum that goes to schools. In its third season, the exhibition will be stopping by at Iowa Schools from April to October. The first pit stop was on April 5 at the Horace Mann Elementary School.

The UI Mobile Museum Facebook posted an activity inside the trailer, stating that the students, teachers and staffs were excited to go on board in the newly launched museum.

Established in 2014, the UI mobile museum is part of an interactive exhibition for Iowa communities. The university has been working with the Office of the State Archaeologist and the Pentacrest Museums to bring artifacts and cutting-edge technology inside a trailer.

As stated  in the Iowa University Mobile Museum website, there are four themes presented in the exhibition for the 2016 season:

Hawkeye Power: Clean Energy for Iowans

The exhibition highlights various efforts from the university in improving energy efficiency in households and commercial properties.

A Wealth of Health: From Iowa to the World

An educational material that aims to develop technologies and tools for medical professionals across Iowa and worldwide.

German Iowa

German is the largest ethnic in Iowa and the showcase highlights the presence of Germans at the First and second World War - focusing on the culture influence on Iowans.

Digital Interactive Touchscreens

Visitors can learn various research activities across the UI departments.

The UI mobile museum has made a few stops across Iowa, including at the Old Capitol Town Center and Mills County Historical Society.

Moveable museum or mobile museum is part of an educational approach that packs history in a recreational vehicle to be presented at schools, libraries, and areas that don't have a museum.

According to UI official website, the exhibits are factually based on research at the University of Iowa in many departments. The interactive education is hoped to advance Iowa student's learning level.
