Students who failed to enter their dream universities have still hope because there are still a great number of students re-opening their doors in May to give those who failed another chance.

The National Association of College Admission Counseling posts the full list of schools that still accept applications. A lot of these schools, like Sewanee and Lawrence, were not able to fill their classes by May 1 so they are opening their doors for more students. Here are some of these colleges that are still accepting students for Fall 2017.

Michigan Technological University

Founded in 1855, Michigan Technological University is located in the small town of Houghton. U.S. News and World Report ranks MTU 118th among national universities and 78th among the Best Colleges for Veterans list. The college has 120+ undergraduate studies as well as master's degree programs.

Lawrence University

Lawrence University in Wisconsin is a liberal arts school and a conservatory of music. Three of its most popular majors are Visual and Performing Arts, Biological and Biomedical Sciences, and Social Sciences. It is ranked number 60 among the Best Liberal Arts Colleges.

Elmhurst College

Elmhurst College is a liberal arts college located in Illinois. Elmhurst is known for its business and health care undergraduate degrees with a 14:1 student-faculty ratio. Elmhurst is ranked 10th by U.S. News in the Best Regional Universities-Midwest list.

Manhattan College

Manhattan College is ranked #55 in the Best Engineering programs list with no doctorate offered. The next two popular majors in the college after engineering are Business and Education which have a 22 percent and 11 percent enrollment rate respectively.

Messiah College

Messiah College is a private institution in Pennsylvania with a total of 2,819 enrollment in its undergraduate programs. It ranks #4 in the Best Regional Colleges North and ties with Manhattan College in the Best Engineering programs with no doctorate.
