'GTA 5' Modder Cancels Promising Mod; 'GTA 5 Online' Gets New Top-Down Camera In New Mode [VIDEO]

By

A promising mod that inserted "Red Dead Redemption" into "GTA 5" was suddenly cancelled by its creator just recently. It was thought that the game publisher Take-Two had something to do with this cancellation.

"GTA 5" Modder Stops New Mod Project

The "GTA 5" mod that was supposed to insert "Red Dead Redemption" in the game was called "Red Dead Redemption V." It was a high-profile mod made by a team of modders who wanted the classic PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 classic to come to the recent generation and to the PC as well. They were contacted by some people who were related to the game after they released a trailer for the mod, one of the modders posted on the official forums of GTAForums.

The modder thanked the fans who supported their cancelled mod, and they are all sorry that it will not happen now due to the ones who contacted them. Fans are guessing that the game publisher Take-Two, the ones who hold the rights to the game, are the ones behind this. It is also not uncommon news for publishers to stop the fans, especially if they are messing with their games, Gamespot reported.

"GTA 5" Supposed-To-Be Plans For Their Cancelled Mod

"Red Dead Redemption V," the "GTA 5" modders cancelled mod, was supposed to be a single-player game only. They were looking for help from the community to help with their programming and scripting for the mod. It was recently announced in March, and it was a map based from the Xbox 360 version into Rockstar Games' latest video game, and there was even a planned beta this coming summer.

"GTA 5 Online" Gets Classic Top-Down Camera In New Mode

In other "GTA 5" related news, the online version of the video game will get a classic top-down camera in a new mode soon. Rockstar Games is bringing that feature back with the Tiny Racers update. It will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 25, Gamespot reported on another post.
