Samsung Reportedly Provoked Microsoft to Release Surface Pro 5 Soon; The 2-in-1 Convertible Tablet to Beat in 2017

The launching of Samsung Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 as reportedly provoked Microsoft to release its fifth-generation of Microsoft Surface Pro line. Several reports suggest that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be the 2-in-1 tablet to beat in 2017 that even Apple iPad pro 2 cannot surpass.

Samsung Galaxy Book Specs and Features Threaten Microsoft

Samsung has reportedly stolen the spotlight during the Mobile World Congress when the company unleashed its newest 2-in-1 tablet called Galaxy Book which comes in two variants. The devices are said to be the latest attempt of the South Korean company to take on Microsoft's Surface Pro Line, The Verge reported.

To be able to beat the Windows-maker's remarkable convertible tablet, Samsung has incorporated Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 with high-performing specs and impeccable features. Both tablets are Windows 10-operated; however, the higher-end Book 12 is powered by a fanless Intel Core i5 processor while the other one is fueled by Intel Core m3.

Furthermore, the 10.6-inch Galaxy Book 10 sports a 1920 x 1280 pixel LCD display while the 12-inch Galaxy Book features a Super AMOLED HDR display. Both tablets have built-in USB Type-C ports and 10 hours of battery life and fast charging functionality.

In addition, both tablets support the signature S-Pen with over 4,000 pressure sensitivity level that need not to be charged. The devices also feature better camera, improved keyboard case, enhanced keycaps and backlighting and larger trackpad.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Heading Towards Imminent Release

The presence of Samsung Galaxy Book has reportedly provoked Microsoft to reveal its ace under the sleeve. However, based on various reports, the Surface Pro 5 is considered as the 2-in-1 or convertible tablet to beat in 2017 because of its features and specs that are parallel with super computers.

The device's killer specs is its 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage alongside Intel Core i7 or Kaby Lake which contributes to total performance improvement compared to Surface Pro 4. According to Market Exclusive, Surface Pro 5 new functionalities include the support for Surface Pen and 4K resolution for VR-games.
